Employment Opportunities
Thank you for your interest in the employment opportunities at Wightman. Wightman employees enjoy a friendly work environment, access to the facility and its equipment (with some restrictions), and competitive compensation.
We are currently accepting applications for part-time front desk staff and lifeguard positions. However, due to Massachusetts State Law regarding the restrictions of employees under the age of 16, all applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
Front Desk Attendants
Applicants must be reliable, friendly, and capable of working with minimal supervision. Duties include, but are not limited to, greeting members, answering phones, taking tennis court reservations, laundering towels, and closing the facility at night. CPR certification is preferred. Experience is preferred but not necessary—we are willing to train the right candidates.
Lifeguards
Applicants must be reliable, friendly, and capable of working with minimal supervision. All applicants for the lifeguard position must hold current certifications in CPR / AED, First Aid, and Lifeguarding.
Duties include, but are not limited to, patron surveillance and promoting pool safety, testing water chemistry, general pool maintenance, and laundering towels. Experience is preferred but not necessary—we are willing to train the right candidates.
